The public have accused online shopping sites of neglecting their responsibilities after a Chinese man was reported to have allegedly killed his girlfriend with a poisonous injection he bought online. According to media reports, the injections are generally sold as a way to kill animals like dogs and described as medical supplies on invoices to avoid inspection. These poisons, fatal to animals, can also kill people. Just days before, there had been an outcry when it was revealed some people were promoting these poisons online to dog haters and dog meat sellers. Netizens blamed online retailers and delivery companies for abdicating their supervisory duties and said they should take responsibility for any incidents related to illegal items they sell or deliver.
