As China’s real estate market continues to stagger through the winter season due to the country’s economic slowdown and government policies curbing housing prices, some companies are looking to perk up sales. A real estate company in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region recently made headlines for painting their properties’ floor plans on the backs of their near-naked models. Video showed the models seated with their backs toward a gawking crowd, their breasts barely covered. Many on social media called the promotion a ridiculous gimmick and accused the company of vulgarity. Local authorities were alerted and launched an investigation into the company.
