The people of Wuhan, the center of China’s Covid-19 outbreak, weren’t the only ones excited about the city ending its 76-day lockdown on April 8. A video of a yellow weasel scurrying in and out of a Wuhan crowd looking for food has made the rounds on social media. The cute mammal amused many in the video, who came up to feed him. In the clip, one person said that yellow weasels used to be a rare sight in the city, but they might have had a tougher time finding food during Wuhan’s two-month lockdown. Netizens joked that even Wuhan’s animals are happy about the city returning to normal.
