The eighth China International Import Expo 2025 was held in Shanghai from November 5-10, with the value of intended deals adding up to US$83.49 billion, a record high and a 4.4 percent growth compared with the 2024 expo.
The expo, which covered an area of 367,000 square meters, attracted 4,108 enterprises and organizations from 155 countries and regions, including 290 Fortune Global 500 companies. Nearly 200 overseas companies and institutions have attended all eight annual expos since 2018, becoming regulars, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lin Jian. US enterprises have ranked top in combined floor space for seven straight years.
The 2025 expo received a cumulative 922,000 visits, 8.2 percent up on the previous year.
The expo saw 461 new technologies, services and products on show, half of which were making their debuts. AI, digital services and green-energy products were particular highlights. The China Hall displayed lunar soil samples, 6G application scenarios and brain-computer interface technologies.
